Kendrick Lamar Fans or Paid Protestors? Andrew Schulz Leaves Hip-Hop World Shocked With a Reality Check

When a captain steers a boat towards the anchor, a smooth sail is never guaranteed. If anything, it is the other way around. Should music artists trade shoes, the perilous period would not suddenly turn into a happy hour and it shows. This year, hip-hop ruled the record industry with a momentum barely felt in the last few, with Kendrick Lamar squaring off with Drake. But with each passing day, beef left the hot waters to become a disaster so all-consuming that both their fandoms began mirroring their idols and their ways.

Though Lamar had his supporters playing defense 24/7, Andrew Schulz recently left many in doubt whether K-Dot’s backup was merely a rent-a-crowd after his bombshell remarks days ago.

Swapping shoes would not calm the storm, and despite the year Kendrick Lamar has had, he is still no different from the weathered mariner. In a recent episode of the Flagrant podcast, Andrew Schulz brought an unexpected side to the Lamar story with a critical dissection of a particular supporter. Schulz clarified he does not assume the puppet show is neither by K-Dot, his team, or his publicist but by a “random fan” who reportedly put out an advertisement, “paying protestors” to show up at his Hawaii event on December 21.

Unaware of who was pulling the strings, they were pretty baffled that “$250” was being paid to each and every protest whoever turned up. Schulz poked fun at the idea that the real show is outside, but he is convinced the manufactured dissent is actually a clever caricature of a super-obsessed fan. While Schulz did not hold back, taking back-to-back swipes at the anonymous orchestrator who wants to “censor” competition, even after Lamar’s biggest streaming year, the chapter felt like a modern-day Odyssey.

Though Schulz pulled the safety net before blows could come his way, he did not exactly play subtle in determining the audience Lamar tends to cater.

Andrew Schulz opens up about Kendrick Lamar’s intended audience

In one of the recent episodes of the Flagrant podcast, Andrew Schulz was slyly navigating the lines of subtlety, but there was this time when he probably let it go. He was still going on about the orchestrator. But soon, the conversation turned into a low blow for all the Kendrick Lamar fans when he joked that his fandom is usually on the shorter side, teasing that 6’4 K-Dot enthusiasts are a rare breed.

Calling him the “Iron Man” of the vertically challenged, they even gave him a new moniker, “Short King Kendrick.” Moving on, though Schulz was advised to keep the news low and invite his audience to get everyone paid, he finally revealed it was his plan the entire time. However, the plot required a 4-hour commitment, prompting him to step back. For what is worth, though, Lamar’s fans can finally put their minds at ease since he has been cleared of any connection to the rent-a-crowd scheme.
