Before the hip-hop scene turned hot with the consecutive mic drops and diss encounters between Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Drake, and Ye (formerly Kanye West), the Atlanta rapper singled out some fiery claims for two frontmen of this feud. As controversy is a longstanding ally of the ‘Donda’ rapper, much before his taking part in the full-fledged fueling of these lyrical jabs, Ye’s allegiance laid bare his battle instincts with his initial reaction to the Lamar-Cole-Drake rap war.

It appears that Ye’s stance regarding this feud has undergone several leagues of transformation since its inception, as his perspective from day one to now has transitioned like day and night.

Way before Ye stepped into the fued, his reaction to the brewing battleground pinpointed his allegiance to this infamous feud. On March 28, the ‘Heartless’ singer took to his Instagram with a bombshell post, revealing the one who deserves hip-hop’s crown. While with his remix, he may have picked a side in this, before his involvement, however, he took a jab at both Lamar and Drake. As surprising as it is, in the now-deleted Instagram post, the rapper made fiery claims of having “washed” both the frontmen of the feud.

Ye claimed he got the best of Lamar with his track ‘No More Parties in LA’ from ‘The Life of Pablo’, simultaneously roping Drake in for having smoked him during the Free Hoover Concert. However, the rapper was not done yet. After a succession of tirades, Ye also elucidated his loyalty with a concise remark, asserting that there is only “one GOAT” and pledging allegiance to himself in this matter. At that time, fans were unaware that the rapper would soon take a definitive stance, escalating the skirmish into a full-blown battleground.

“THE BOOGEYMAN”- Kendrick Lamar Sets X Ablaze With Yet Another Diss at Drake Following '6:16 in L.A'

Ye and Drake’s relationship has been strained for a while now. Hence, their aggressive stance against each other does not come as a complete shocker. However, West’s perspective of Lamar weeks before his joining the forces makes the equations diabolical, since even the latest diss track by Lamar consists of nods to Ye.

It all began with Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole but the fluke of fire has boiled down to the front yard of several rappers like Drake and Ye. Consequently, with neither of them relenting, it is apparent that the conflict is far from subsiding, and remnants resurface in a series of fresh diss tracks. Following Drake’s release of two scathing tracks targeting Lamar, the latter retaliated with two new songs, ‘Euphoria’ and ‘6:16 in LA’, with fans quick to notice nods to Ye in the former.

Allegedly, ‘Euphoria’ contains veiled jabs at a show of the same name, which was executive-produced by Drake. In one of Lamar's verses, he asserts, “We don’t wanna hear you say ni**a no more,” reminiscent of a line from Ye's ‘Get Em High’, where he raps, “We don’t wanna hear that weak s**t no more.” Therefore, despite Ye’s initial skepticism followed by some unforeseen developments, Lamar’s acknowledgment of him suggests that the rappers have each other's backs.
