Kanye West is one of the most prolific rappers in the world. With a career total of 93 million album sales, there is no doubt that he has a devoted fanbase. Despite the numerous controversies surrounding the artist, he has managed to keep his fans by his side. Now, one of his most “underrated” albums from 2018 is set to be reaching new heights soon.

While the 46-year-old rapper has never been a stranger to breaking Spotify records, this time he could wind up going down as the only one to have an album that was hated on, to cross another streaming landmark.

Five years after Kanye West released his 7 track album ‘Ye’, it seems as though the once-disliked album is now set to break a Spotify record. A recent post from a fan page shared the number of streams each song had gotten. The post claimed that ‘Ye’ was “close to becoming the first” album of the rapper “to have every song above 100M streams on Spotify!”

The most streamed song from the album was ‘Violent Crimes’ with 453 million streams and the lowest was ‘No Mistakes’ with 95 million. In fact, only two of the songs are yet to reach 100 million. The other one is ‘I Thought About Killing You’, which has 98 million streams at the moment. While neither song is far from the 100 million benchmark, fans were overjoyed that the album was finally getting recognition.

Although Kanye West’s fans were ecstatic about ‘Ye’ crossing the expectations that were set for it, some of them could not help but feel as though a few songs from the album deserved more streams. While everyone was happy about the fact that the rapper’s hard work paid off, there was a certain sense of what if among the netizens. However, when the news broke, social media users immediately scrambled to make their thoughts on the album known.

While most users agreed that ‘Ye’ was one of the rapper’s best albums, others were evidently a little hurt about ‘No Mistakes’ being the last on the list.

While it may not be much longer until all the songs in the album cross the 100 million streaming mark, fans of the rapper are getting a little antsy waiting for it to happen. As for Kanye West, he seems to be more caught up in the ongoings of his Italy concert rather than his album streams. After all, he already has broken multiple records before, and this will just be another feather in his cap.
