Kanye West Terms Kai Cenat a “pawn”, Continues the YZY Drama on Instagram Rant
Kanye West is known for speaking his mind loud and clear. Over the years, the rapper has made a name for himself as one of the most polarizing figures in the entertainment world, while still holding onto his rap icon status. From Taylor Swift to Drake and Kid Cudi, the Grammy-winning artist has found himself at odds with numerous industry heavyweights. And it seems, he has added yet another name to his list of industry beefs. This time, it was the turn of the popular online streamer and YouTuber, Kai Cenat.

During his latest livestream, Kai Cenat did a review of a pair of sweats from Kanye West’s brand YZY. The YouTuber seemed to have an issue with the size of the pants as they continuously slipped down despite his efforts to pull them up. When Ye came across the video, he interpreted it as a slight against him and his fashion label, leading him to quickly reach out to Cenat via Instagram with some fiery messages. “Don’t make no jokes about my clothes,” wrote the ‘Donda’ rapper to Cenat.
He also accused Cenat of being “controlled” because the streamer did not comment on “what Adidas is doing” or the success of ‘Vultures’. In response, Cenat tried to defend himself, saying he did not intend to mock it, and promptly ordered a new pair of sweats too. However, Kanye West remained steadfast in his assumption and ended his DM streak by labeling Cenat a “pawn“. On one hand, Ye is adding to his list of adversaries in the industry, and on the other, he has also gained a loyal ally.
Recently, the rapper shared how his friend and collaborator, Ty Dolla $ign, stood beside him when the world was against him.
Kanye West’s heartwarming bond with Ty Dolla $ign
Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign themselves had no idea that they could be such a powerful musical duo. It all began when $ign casually proposed the idea to Kanye West of producing a track in Japan, the Band of Thieves-sampling, ‘Burn’. After their first collaboration, they both knew that this musical match was orchestrated by Apollo and the Muses. However, many people, as per Ye, advised $ign to not work with the ‘Graduation’ artist, because of his polarizing image.

In a recent interview with Big Boy TV, Kanye West, and Ty Dolla $ign got together to discuss their collaborative project, ‘Vultures’. Ye shared that he only chose to collaborate with $ign because the latter supported him when “a million people” were advising against it. It seems like West is meticulously curating his industry relationships, both in terms of alliances and conflicts.
