Kanye West might be one of the world’s most controversial rappers. However, there is no doubt that the man knows how to sell his work. From his insane rap album drops to his latest Yeezy additions, the 46-year-old has always managed to put himself out there. That is exactly what he did when he debuted his brand new advertisement for his fashion brand at the Super Bowl.
Shortly after Ye’s recent advertisement took over the world and brought in a ton of sales for the company, the father of four proclaimed his move as a “genius” tactic on social media.

In a story to his Instagram, Kanye West reposted a post from a fan account that called his recent Yeezy advertisement at the Super Bowl a “genius” marketing move. He shared a clip that featured two men talking about the rapper’s success at being his own “product.” After all, the 46-year-old had created an ad with nothing apart from his cellphone in the backseat of a car.
While the advertisement might not have been much to look at, it did end up bringing $19.3 million in just one day for West’s brand. With all products available for only $20, it came as no surprise that everything was sold out in just a few minutes. This might be a great example of Ye’s genius. However, it is not the first time that the rapper has been hailed as a marketing genius.
Just a few days ago, the father of four had stunned the world with an album rollout for ‘Vultures 1’ like no one had ever seen before.

Last year, Kanye West promised his fans a brand new album. However, for 3 months, it kept running into unforeseen delays. While the world had to wait for an update on his collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, ‘Vultures 1’, the rapper kept the hype for his music up with numerous advertisements, album covers, and even a couple of listening parties that shook the world.
Although it seemed as though some fans had lost interest in the album with his delays, that was far from the truth. Shortly after Ye’s album made its way online, it ended up overtaking not only Drake and The Weeknd but also Taylor Swift, to make him Spotify’s Top Global Artist.
