The Israel-Palestine conflict that has enwrapped the world in advocating for peace treaties, saw the rise of many A-listers signing the closure with an urge for an immediate ceasefire. While Ye did not go all out in public to take a particular standpoint, a close associate has unveiled his position on the matter. Fadie Musallet, a staunch supporter of Palestine, who also accompanied Ye on his Miami trip, declared in his Instagram stories that “Ye is Team Palestine”.
Musallet is also someone who encouraged the immediate ceasefire petition. Although his accompanying of West to Miami remained classified, Ye’s backing up of Palestine came into unfolding. As a supporter of peace and regulation, West’s stance did not come as a shocker. Instead, his preference aligned with the need for amity and harmony, like many of the other celebrities.
While this could signify his first overt display of support for Palestine, indications of his subtle backing for the cause emerged earlier.

West’s musical legacy conquers the reel and reality like no other. As a genius in his field, he often conveys the veracity of public affairs and personal perspectives in his lyrical masterpiece. Much in the same way, when his song, ‘God Got Me’ surfaced as a ‘Donda Leak’, speculations grew as if it was a subtle support for Bella Hadid’s stand with Palestine. This was an unreleased version of the song.
The 15-minute controversial lyrics reiterated, “My homegirl” cueing at the possibility of him specifically mentioning Hadid. Given that the song also aligned with Hadid’s outspoken support for Palestine, the rumor mill grew manifold. However, now that Ye has shed his subtlety altogether, the possibility of the song being a support shelf for his “homegirl” feels all the more legitimate.
