Kanye West Hypes up a Track From ‘Vultures 1’ by Shouting Out Elon Musk
With Kanye West’s ‘Vultures 1’ finally out, it looks like the rapper has now moved on to promoting tracks off the album. While the project was delayed multiple times, it already brought in 65 million Spotify streams in just 24 hours after it was released. Now, it seems like the artist has his sights set on brand new heights for his masterpiece. After name-dropping Taylor Swift, Bill Crosby, Puff Daddy, and more, the Yeezy creator ended up shouting out Elon Musk.
Although they were once rather good friends, Ye ended up using the Tesla CEO’s name to try and hype up the song that he was mentioned in.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kanye West posted a clip of his ‘Vultures’ listening event at Chicago United Center. While that was enough to send fans into a frenzy, it was his caption that came as a surprise. Ye captioned his post with “ELON MUSK WHERE MY ROCKET SHIP,” which was a line from his new song, ‘Carnival’. The post might have been a way to promote his new album. However, it did not seem to sit too well with the tech genius.
Shortly after Ye had taken to social media to shout out his former friend, Musk ended up commenting on the same post. Instead of the reaction fans had expected, the SpaceX founder ended up quoting Nicki Minaj’s ‘Starships’ and told the rapper to wait “for a few more test flights.” The hostility between the two seems to have been taken to a new level ever since the 46-year-old was banned from X back in 2022.
Although it has been years since their public fallout, it looks like the two famous men have not resolved the issues they have with each other yet.
Why Kanye West and Elon Musk had a falling out
Back in 2022, Kanye West was on his most controversial spree yet. From terrorizing his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and her beau, Pete Davidson to calling out Elon Musk for not helping him with his divorce and child custody, the rapper went down a rather dark hole. However, everything took an even worse turn when the 46-year-old began sharing unsavory opinions that were against X’s community guidelines.

That was when Musk had no other choice but to ban the father of four from the app. While it might have been for his own good, that was not how West had ended up seeing it. Although the Yeezy creator is back on the app, it looks like he plans on playing by the rules.
