Just one day earlier, Kanye West took a stand against the unfair compensation practices of music streaming platforms. But what was surprising was that he also spoke for one of his oldest competitors, someone with whom he has had a rocky history, including Taylor Swift and Drake. However, just when fans started to hope that perhaps the decade-long feud between the musical giants had finally dampened down, an Instagram story from the ‘Donda’ rapper once again ignited a fresh conflict.
Kanye West took to Instagram on Wednesday to flaunt his recent Spotify record. This neck-and-neck race between Ye and Swift has seen constant shifts since Tuesday, with each taking the lead from the other multiple times within hours. Just as Ye began celebrating his achievement, Swift once again clawed her way back to the top of Spotify’s rankings. However, there has not been any reaction from Swift’s side regarding this intense Spotify competition, nor should anyone expect one.

Recently, another hint about the feud between Kanye West and Taylor Swift was given by former NFL star Brandon Marshall. The 39-year-old American footballer made some shocking revelations about the two artists on the I AM ATHLETE podcast. He revealed that the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer booted Ye from the Super Bowl stadium for trying to steal her limelight. Although there was little to no evidence to trust his claim, Ye’s recent story update is once again fueling doubts about their ongoing feud.
Apart from doubts, the story has also drawn quite a lot of trolling from Taylor Swift’s devoted fanbase, who mocked the rapper for celebrating his 15 minutes of victory.
Swifties attacked Kanye West as Taylor Swift reclaimed her throne on Spotify
Kanye West announcing himself as the most streamed artist on Spotify for the day, despite once again being overtaken, allowed Swifties to ridicule the rapper. They called out Ye for fixating on the songstress, despite their infamous feud being decades old. This one day of bragging had fans in stitches, expressing their sentiments in the form of mockery towards the rapper.

Fans noticed the rapper’s silence after losing his top spot on the Spotify rankings again.

Swifties confidently claimed that West can only celebrate this achievement for one day. They believe that Swift is unbeatable and can not be kept away too long from her top spot.
For what, one day? Who cares? I don’t see him holding any grammy’s, vma’s or holding all top 10 spots on the global 100 simultaneously. Someone’s just jealous of our girl who works 100x harder👏🏼👏🏼

The ongoing feud between these two music icons seems to have no end in sight. However, when it comes to Spotify records, both are locked in fierce competition, making it hard to predict who will emerge as the ultimate top global artist.
