Kanye West is no stranger to controversies, which now seems to be a part and parcel of his career. From interrupting Taylor Swift‘s MTV VMA winner’s speech to getting backlash over making a series of anti-semitic remarks, West always manages to end up in the news headlines for the wrong reasons. Amidst the buzz of his upcoming collaborative album with American rapper Ty Dolla $ign, West found himself entangled in yet another controversy.

The ‘Donda’ rapper once shared a video from a Thanksgiving event he attended two years ago. And now, the planner of that event has sued Ye visit for the video that went viral back then.

In the year 2021, West paid a visit to the homeless people on Los Angeles’ Skid Row. Elijah Graham, who filmed the Los Angeles mission, has now accused Ye of copyright infringement. He charged Ye for allegedly publishing his footage on Instagram without authorization. As per Rolling Stone, Graham lodged a complaint in the federal court in Los Angeles on Tuesday for illegally shifting his audience to West’s Instagram account.

Ye allegedly used the video to promote his music, which decreased the revenue on his social media account. Graham also demanded compensation for the infringement which violated the United States’ copyright laws. Ye who already has an extensive list of legal accusations, increased his count by one more. However, this was not the only time Kanye West neglected the importance of seeking permission from the authorities.

Kanye West has been absent from live shows and concerts for a while now. The wait seemed to be worth it after the rumors of Ye’s grand concert at RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia began circulating. However, the event had some early hiccups to deal with owing to Kanye West’s negligence in complying with the rules. Earlier this week, the news about a cancellation of the event started doing the rounds after West flew back to America. They even dismantled the stage as he failed to obtain the “permission” to build the stage by the mid-October deadline.

Additionally, Ye also faced a backlash from feminists and anti-fascist groups for his last year’s statements, jeopardizing the Italy concert. The last time fans got to witness the rap icon performing on stage was during his surprise appearance in Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia’ Concert. However, fans have been eagerly anticipating a solo live show from the Grammy-winning rapper, which is still shrouded in uncertainty.
