His love of food originally drew everyone’s attention in 2007 when he dropped a “this ain’t Chipotle” remark in rapper Schoolboy Q’s new single. The line produced some of the most significant social media promotions that Chipotle has had in years. However, the best example of love for food is the wedding gift he gave his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

In addition to a Vogue cover, the rapper gave his ex-wife the rights to open 10 Burger King franchises across Europe. While his lovers have changed since his divorce, his fondness for fast food has not.

West’s obsession with fast food was solidified in 2016 when he wrote a funny poem about McDonald’s in Frank Ocean’s print magazine, Boys Don’t Cry. So, when a social media handle on X (formerly Twitter) posted a photo of the Yeezy founder eating at KFC in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, it came as no surprise to his millions of fans, who were already well aware of the ‘Graduation’ rapper’s fondness for fast food, given that he bought the rights to open ten Fatburger locations in 2008.

The ‘Life of Pablo’ singer’s entire love affair with the American fast-food chain KFC began when he was still married to SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian, even to the extent of having a plaque named after them at the Paris KFC. However, following their divorce in 2021, the ‘Graduation’ rapper continued his fascination with the fast-food joint when he, along with his now equally controversial wife, Bianca Censori, visited KFC Los Angeles in June of this year to grab a quick snack.

The singer’s fascination with KFC had the internet in stitches. However, his wife’s attire choices drew everyone’s attention, with some even labeling them as bizarre.

The ‘Donda’ rapper is no stranger to causing controversy with his words, but this time the cameras were on his architect wife Censori, who emerged shoeless in black sheer tights while on a KFC lunch date with the rapper in Los Angeles. The rapper wore a T-shirt with the word “Polezi” written on it. On the other hand, Censori was in sheer trousers and a black T-shirt, minus her shoes. This fashion choice certainly caused a division on the internet, but no one was surprised.

The ‘Donda’ singer has a knack for revamping his significant others’ wardrobes. A famous example of this is when he cleaned out Kim Kardashian’s closet in an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, leaving his former wife in tears. The cherry on top was when he treated Julia Fox to a $100,000 dress-up date following his divorce. These occurrences show that his preoccupation with controlling his partners’ wardrobe choices is as great as his obsession with KFC.
