Kanye West and JPEGMAFIA Stand Together as the Producer Defends His Latest Collaboration
Kanye West had been out of controversy for a hot minute, but he seems to be back. While the rapper has been promising fans new music and delaying his upcoming album, ‘Vultures’, he recently brought on a new collaborator. The whole album might be filled with various rappers. However, this time, the father of four brought in an upcoming music producer into the mix.
While most of his fans were excited to see what they could potentially create together, others were a little thrown by the whole collaboration. However, now, both Ye and the 34-year-old have defended their latest project.

In a post to his stories on Instagram, Kanye West shared a now-deleted post from JPEGMAFIA’s X (formerly Twitter) account. The post had defended their latest collaboration on ‘Vultures’. The producer had said, “When I said I love an artist, there’s nothing political about it.” He added that he had been saying “for years” that Ye was his “favorite artist of all time.”
The 34-year-old went on to say that he found it “offensive,” that the internet “took a moment” he was “waiting on” his whole life, and “twisted it into some weird a** oppression Olympics.” Ye’s newest collaborator ended his comeback with, “I make goals and I achieve them. You make mean Reddit threads. We will never be alike no matter how much you want it to be.”
While Kanye West did not have anything to add to the post, he re-shared it in support of JPEGMAFIA. However, the post came after fans saw the producer call out the rapper after announcing their collaboration.
JPEGMAFIA called out Kanye West amidst ‘Vultures’ collaboration
A little over a week ago, JPEGMAFIA contradicted himself on social media and left fans confused. On X, the producer took shots at other Kanye West collaborators claiming that the rapper was ignoring his studio talent. However, his biggest problem was the fact that he believed those people had “less to offer” the 46-year-old than he did. While Ye might be known for his iconic clapbacks, he chose to sit this round out.

Shortly after his rant on X, JPEGMAFIA posted a picture of himself and Ye hanging out one-on-one like nothing had happened. While the 46-year-old chose not to acknowledge that, his public acknowledgment of the producer’s latest post proves that the rapper stands by his choice of working with the rising star.
