Kanye West, the ubiquitous rapper and hip-hop legend, has held fans by their breath over rumors of his next album drop. The singer who last dropped his tenth studio album ‘Donda’ about two years ago, is yet to make a musical comeback. Although frequent on the news, West is at large when it comes to music. All of it could change soon as reports on the rapper’s next album have gathered enormous steam in recent days.

Recent sightings and rumors have all pointed to Kanye West or Ye being almost ready with his next album. Now, a fan and noted insider adds fuel to the fire.

Kanye West rehearsing “finished songs” in makeshift studio

Kanye West is currently in Italy, as numerous sightings have been reported. The rapper had earlier marked his last major public outing when he performed at Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia’ concert. However, fans were left disappointed when his outing was not followed by any news of his upcoming albums or even the whiff of it. Now, an Instagram user who goes by the name of Gregor Estevan has brought forward claims that the rapper has already completed his songs and is busy rehearsing them. The report may hold some credibility, as the fan has earlier photographed himself with some of West’s collaborators.

In his Instagram stories, Estevan shared many captures of Ye hiding in plain sight, although still being noticeable. He also shared that Kanye West and his team have set up a makeshift studio in a conference room at an Italy hotel. Additionally, the songs that were being rehearsed sounded “finished”. The fan’s claim comes at a time when just a day prior, West’s frequent collaborator, CyHi the Prynce was also spotted in Italy. Therefore, with rumors seemingly confirming a Kanye West album on the horizon, fans can start getting their speakers ready!

However, West’s album, if dropping soon, will again be a showoff between him and his long-time rival, Drake.

A stage is getting set for the next Ye versus Drake showdown

Kanye West and Drake have had a long-standing cold war going on over the years. The rappers who have both delivered sellout albums have often stood across the lines of one another. Ye’s last album ‘Donda’ was released in 2021 and climbed up the charts significantly. However, a week later, Drake followed up with ‘Certified Lover Boy’, which dented ‘Donda’s’ progress. Additionally, Drake got off with a better critical reception of his album than West.

Now years later, as West’s upcoming album launch seems to be imminent, so is another showdown. Drake is more than ready with his upcoming album ‘For All The Dogs’, which simply lacks a release date. Meanwhile, the progress on West’s album is still unclear. Reports have suggested that Drake will release his album near September, which could also be what Ye is aiming for. Thus, fans are in for a musical extravaganza and an epic clash of the giants.
