Taylor Swift has consistently dominated the charts in terms of success analytics. While not all forms of creativity are validated by surveys and charts, success is often measured by numbers in the music industry. As a global superstar, the 34-year-old has frequently gone above and beyond to ensure her stay at the zenith of recognition- some days with her musical impact, on others, with her humanitarian influence. Despite her long-standing position at the top, Swift was recently displaced and dethroned from one of the more unusual charts by American singer JoJo Siwa.

Siwa marked her victory with a quirky celebration, turning it into a laughter-filled event online.

In a recent TikTok posted on Thursday, the 21-year-old pop artist, JoJo Siwa, reveled in an unusual achievement—overtaking top artists like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande in a peculiar category for the year's most disliked music videos by female artists. In the video, Siwa energetically lists the least-favored visuals of 2024, before attempting faux suspense to declare her track ‘Karma’ garnered 3.1 million dislikes, surpassing Swift’s ‘Fortnight’ with 350,000 dislikes.

"I’m the only person who can say I beat Taylor Swift on a list," Siwa said with a grin, before closing her laptop and shrugging, "I’ll take it." Embracing the notion that no publicity is bad publicity, Siwa wittingly wrote, "A WIN IS A WIN," finding the silver lining amidst the visible unpopularity. As for those following Swift, Perry secured second place with 330,000 dislikes for ‘Woman’s World,’ while Grande came in third with 290,000 thumbs-downs for ‘Yes And?’.

Taylor Swift is known for her diverse range of releases, and her record-breaking album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ continues this tradition. On Monday, July 8, the pop star unveiled a new acoustic version of ‘Fortnight’ featuring Post Malone, dividing her fanbase into two camps. This rendition showcases the two artists exchanging vocals over an unplugged arrangement.

This update includes the acoustic version of the original album track along with a remix by the New York indie duo Cults. The remix and acoustic version are the latest additions to the double album, which now boasts an impressive 31 physical variants, including multiple CD, vinyl, cassette, and deluxe editions. Despite this extensive collection, the decline in popularity of tracks like ‘Fortnight’ raises questions about whether Swift’s album is slipping from the debate of the Album of the Year.
