Amidst the hullabaloo surrounding her debut album, Jennie just left an indelible mark with Doechii on the world marked by flashing lights beyond the periphery of music. The duo just made waves at the NCAA Women’s Championship with a smash-hit collaboration.

Though Jennie and Doechii saw quite the success since ‘Ruby’s’ release, the track’s recent highlight proves the record industry is not the only one dancing to their beats.

The 2025 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division women’s basketball tournament kicked off on March 19, 2025, at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Although Jennie and Doechii were not present at the venue, their smash hit track, ‘ExtraL’, was. Clippings from the tournament show the ESPN NCAA Women’s Championship tuning into ‘ExtraL’ before an advertisement break. 

‘ExtraL’ is the third single from Jennie’s debut studio album, ‘Ruby,’ featuring Doechii. The track was released on February 21, 2025, through the former’s Odd Atelier Label and Columbia Records, peaking at number 18 on the top 20 of the Billboard Global 200. Dem Jointz produced ‘ExtraL’ — a fusion of Jennie and Doechii’s characteristic musical styles, serving as a blend of pop and hip-hop.

And to ensure ‘Ruby’ had its place on the throne, she tapped on stars ranging from Childish Gambino to Doechii.
