Ten years ago, Willow Smith, along with her brother Jaden and some other close friends and family created MSFTSrep, with an aim to channel their creativity into bringing a change in the world. Owing to its commitment to providing cruelty-free, eco-friendly, and sustainable production, the clothing and lifestyle brand found its way into the hearts of its consumers. And now the ‘Syre’ creator has fans in a frenzy with a collaboration with another $5.3 billion fashion brand.

The 25-year-old teased this collaboration with the billion-dollar sports footwear manufacturer, New Balance, during a guest performance at Coachella in April. Ever since that event, fans have been eagerly anticipating to see how the partnership was going to unfold. Now, days after he shared his body transformation pictures on X, formerly Twitter, Jaden Smith shared a post on Instagram giving a glimpse of his brand’s collaboration with New Balance. The American rapper also announced the release date of his collaboration, which will be available by October 12. 

This will not be the first collaboration of the After Earth actor’s brand with New Balance. Both companies have been rolling out trendy footwear merchandise since the year 2020. At first, they brought forth a collection of ultra-chunky NB Vision Racer shows, and then in the following years, they surprised their fans with the one-off patchwork 574 shoes. Now, the latest collection of MSFTSrep x New Balance 0.01 will reportedly be the most wearable sneaker to date. 

Fans, however, seemed to have been expecting a new album announcement from the ‘Erys’ creator instead of a footwear collaboration reveal.

For quite some time, there have been some strong speculations floating on the internet about the 25-year-old Smith returning to the recording studio for a 2024 album release. However, neither the musician nor his representatives have given a green light to the rumors. When The Karate Kid star shared his latest Instagram post announcing MSFTSrep’s upcoming collections, fans misinterpreted it as his new album announcement. Upon realizing what the post was actually about, they flooded the comments saying, “bro dropped new shoes before music”, “ni**a drop music”,  and “girl where is the music”. 

Some even poked fun at the artist by comparing him to the model in the post and said, “Damn Jaden gained so much weight”. Fans were also quick to notice that the 25-year-old archived all his posts from his Instagram handle and asked, “did you really archive half of your feed for a shoe drop”. Nevertheless, there was genuine excitement among people for the upcoming footwear collaboration. They expressed their delight with comments like, “Damn finally been waitin for these to drop”.
