Jada Pinkett Smith and 2Pac Lip-Syncing to a Will Smith Song Is the 90s Throwback We All Needed
With his iconic ‘Fresh Prince’ flair and the freshest of lyrics, Will Smith became one of the most well-known rappers of the 90s. Not only did his clean verses appeal to a broad audience, but also helped bridge the gap between rap and mainstream pop culture. Through his debut album’s success, the ‘Big Willie Style’ singer landed his own show, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, where he met his now wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
However, Will Smith was not the first mega rap icon that Jada Pinkett Smith crossed paths with. Her high school buddy was none other than the now-deceased rap star, Tupac Shakur.

Like most fans of Will Smith, his wife and Tupac Shakur could not resist ‘getting jiggy with’ one of his many Billboard Hot 100 songs back in the day. Earlier today, the 52-year-old shared an old video of her and her childhood buddies’ shared shenanigans. In it, the pals were singing and dancing along to Will Smith’s ‘Parents Just Don’t Understand’ from his ‘He’s the DJ, I’m the Rapper’ album with DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Earlier this year, some images from the duo’s times in Baltimore School for the Arts also surfaced. Moreover, the immense friendship and banter between Smith and Shakur is known to be legendary. After all, the Red Table Talk show’s host has talked about him various times since his passing. However, certain aspects of their relationship have always irked somebody in her life.
And that person is none other than Jada Pinkett Smith’s husband of over two decades.

Among the many eccentricities in the Smith family household, the most refreshing one is their unwavering honesty. Not only the parents, but also Jaden and Willow Smith are known to speak their minds. So, when the hosts of The Breakfast Club asked if the Bad Boys actor was “jealous” of his wife’s love for ‘Ghetto Gospel’ singer, Smith answered with a direct “f**k yeah” remark.
Especially since his daughter once wrote an open letter to Tupac Shakur, the 54-year-old was well aware of the late rapper’s impact on his family. According to him, his wife’s love would raise some conflicting feelings for him often. Well, the latest post his wife shared on Instagram probably did not help the matter in that case.
