Kanye West, who dealt with a rollercoaster of controversies last year, has emerged from the chaos with a resurgence in his musical career. Following a year-long hiatus, the rap icon reentered the scene last Friday with the premiere of his latest track, ‘Vultures’, in collaboration with legends like Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Durk, and Bump J. Despite the song’s controversial lyrics, fans welcomed Kanye West’s return as his catchy beats reverberated across the globe. 

Fans, however, recently found a reason to criticize the newly released song following the alleged removal of an artist’s name. Lil Durk, who was part of the song, does not appear on the Spotify credit list. This has been causing discontent among fans. The popular fan page dedicated to Kanye West shared an intriguing question on X, formerly Twitter, hinting that this removal might be due to the collaboration between Ye and $ign who wants a dominant impact on the album. 

On streaming platforms like Apple Music and Tidal, not only the song was removed but also it does not credit the feature of Ty Dolla $ign. According to a Reddit thread, there might be two possibilities. First, Kanye West might be revisiting the song in light of the strong backlash he faced owing to the anti-Semitic lyrics. The second possibility is that the song may have been prematurely released and is still incomplete. 

These inconsistencies in the song credits have sparked confusion among fans who flooded X asking for an explanation.

Fans try to piece together the puzzle of Kanye West’s Vultures

This is not the first time such a removal of an artist’s credit went through with Kanye West’s song. In the year 2021, Ye removed the verse of Soulja Boy from the song ‘Remote Control’ from his ‘Donda’ album because he did not like it. Even Chris Brown experienced an abrupt removal of his verse from an alleged collaboration on the ‘Donda’ album. Considering Ye’s track record of removing the vocals of his collaborated artists, there is a chance this could happen again with the latest release.

Fans believed that Durk had the best verse among all the collaborators and were highly disappointed with the snub.

Fans also questioned the presence of Bump J on the credit list if the motive of Ye was truly to make his and $ign’s presence dominant in the song. 

Kanye West is currently in the Middle Eastern region, finding creative inspiration for his upcoming collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign. Ahead of the release of the album, Ye is already creating a massive buzz for his musical resurgence. And with the song finally out now with Dolla $ign hyping it up, it is nothing but a first step towards his musical comeback.
