In a recent conversation with Rolling Stone, a Taylor Swift fan, Wenfei Xie, shared a highlight from her experience attending the Eras Tour last summer, in her hometown, Missouri. Allegedly, Xie had met a fellow Swiftie at the concert who had contacted Paris’s La Défense Arena to buy four-stand tickets. Xie followed suit and began arranging a trip to Swift’s Paris Eras Tour, paid $1836 whereas in New Orleans or Miami, the ticket prices are currently sold at $5000 to $8000.

Xie acknowledged that one can easily make a vacation from this trip, serving twice the purpose, and still pay less or equivalent to the US tickets on StubHub, despite France being an overseas destination. The fan explained that although she booked a VIP suite just for her colleagues and a few of her college friends; her plans quickly took a turn where she had to arrange 12 VIP suites for 291 people. However, the access to suites includes food, champagne, and private bathrooms, unlike the US ticket fees, where getting a good seat becomes even more problematic.

At the Paris La Défense Arena, Taylor Swift kicked off the first leg of the European Eras Tour and fans were treated to much more than they had on their bingo cards. Of course, her riddled t-shirt, reading “THIS IS NOT TAYLOR’S VERSION” was a highlight of the show, but there were several more. Within the month gap between her tour, the pop star dropped her 11th studio album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ and the show marked its live debut as fresh tracks from the record were accommodated.

From the sets to tracks to her dresses; everything underwent a significant transformation. For the initiation of ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ era, the set changed with assorted items of furniture like a chair, a lamp, and a door, and she donned a white corset dress with cursive writing woven on her extravagant skirt. Before this, she wore a pink bodysuit, signaling the advent of her ‘Lover’ era, and a black and gold dress for the ‘Fearless’ era. Given how her outfits and stage designs evolved with each album era, giving fans a one-of-a-kind concert experience, it is clear that the France set justified all the frenzied efforts made by her fans.
