Drake definitely is not lacking in enemies in the rap world. In fact, he has been knee-deep in rap beef for most of 2024. Toronto’s very own has a whole list of people trying to suck the life out of him. To sum it all up in one place, an infamous list of Drake’s opponents in the industry made the rounds earlier this year- and it has recently popped up again, making headlines everywhere. One of the names on the list, a well-known music critic, recently responded to it.

The critic, however, seemed more excited than worried about possibly being in a beef with Drake.

Thanks to 50 Cent, fans got another look at Drake’s 'Opp list', which featured over 60 names. It had some big names, like Ye, aka Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar, which made perfect sense. There were also some major companies, like Adidas, which seemed pretty reasonable when you think about it. However, the funniest parts of the list were the ones that include YouTubers like Anthony Fantano. The music critic, who calls himself, "Internet's busiest music nerd," recently shared the list on his Instagram with the caption, “i’m opped.”

50 Cent pulled out the list during his recent interview with Big Boy. Around the 33-minute mark, the artist casually whipped out a printed page and said, “This is the opp page.” He went on to explain how a famous rapper like Drake could end up making enemies left and right over the years. But this list was not made by 50 Cent- it was actually a printout from an October 2023 post from a Drake fan account called DrakeDebate. Regardless, of how everyone else made it, Anthony Fantano's spot on the list was a long time in making.

It all started in 2022 when Fantano gave a not-so-great review of one of Drake’s albums, inviting a nasty message from the rapper himself.

What went wrong with Drake and Anthony Fantano?

In 2022, Anthony Fantano gave Drake's project 'Honestly, Nevermind' a “Not Good” out of 10. After that, Fantano posted a video on his second YouTube channel titled, Drake Slid Into My DMs, where he shared some very clearly made-up DMs of the Grammy-winning artist sending him a recipe for vegan cookies. It was seen as a bait for Drake to expose himself. And, of course, the ‘God’s Plan’ rapper took it.

Drake ended up leaking his own salty messages to Fantano on his Instagram story. While it is always a little awkward when celebs take their beefs to the DMs- especially since it always tends to backfire-Fantano seemed thrilled to be in a feud with one of the biggest rappers of the century. He even seemed to enjoy leaving Drake on read. And it looks like he is just as excited about making it onto the 'Opp list' as well.
