Kanye West has made hands sway with his music and heads turn with his controversies. Passing through a very rough patch, the rapper found himself on the news frequently back in the late 2010s and early 2020s. Moreover, these testing times also often had Kim Kardashian looking to steer clear and condemn her husband’s actions. However, following several incidents, the socialite’s patience finally gave way to their high-profile split in 2022.

Despite fan allegations that Kardashian never did try enough for West, a newly leaked clip from 2018, doing the rounds, suggests otherwise.

Kim Kardashian once tried to have Kanye West back on the right track

A fairytale wedding that ended in chaos. Two years into their marriage, Kanye West feuded publicly on social media with Wiz Khalifa and broke the mended fences with Taylor Swift. Following it, reports came of him having bipolar disorder and a psychiatric emergency. However, after diagnosis, the situation was under control. Yet come 2018, West had put himself off medications. Now, in the leaked video, Kardashian can be heard ‘advising’ Ye, “I think it could be helpful, you want to be trying the best medicines out there.” 

In the phone call, initiated by the ‘Donda’ singer, he asked for his wife’s support instead of being labeled “narcissistic”. At the time of this conversation, back in 2018, Ye was receiving flak and heat from several factions on his misguided steps and remarks. Thus, his then-wife’s call for him to get on medications was one of her last-ditch attempts to save their marriage. Eventually, citing “irreconcilable differences,” Kardashian split from West with the latter coughing up $200,000 monthly in child support.

Years down the line, West recently courted fresh controversies, this time with now wife, Bianca Censori.

Ye shrugs off police investigation in Italy to spearhead new music production

A much-talked-about split with Kim Kardashian had Kanye West marry Yeezy executive, Bianca Censori, in early 2023. Soon after this news went public, the newly wedded couple flew off from the United States to Japan and have ever since shifted bases across countries. After marking a public appearance in Travis Scott’s Rome concert, West headed to Florence and then Venice. While rumors of his new music coming up were doing the rounds, the rapper called upon an Italian police investigation into his amorous display of public indecency.

This time, however, the controversies lay overshadowed by news of his forthcoming album. Following Venice, the couple shifted to Madrid, followed by a music preview in London and then again back in Italy for the Milan Fashion Week. As for his latest status, West appeared in an online video that featured him previewing the latest snippet of his upcoming album from a makeshift studio.
