The tradition of throwing women into the ring for public entertainment is, by now, as predictable as it is tiresome. Yet here we are, with the female rap industry painted as one long, unending 'catfight'. The audience recognizes the spectacle, even tuts in disapproval, but also watches from the sidelines, eventually sprinkling some salt to elevate the plot. And yet, in the midst of it all, Nicki Minaj and Eve seem to have missed the script. Rather than claws, they have brought camaraderie.

It is no fresh headline that Nicki Minaj, along with several female rap artists, has been in a serious mud fight. However, instead of taking the bus easily available, Eve decided to turn the tables as she made a surprising statement regarding Minaj.

Given the little legroom that is provided for the top artists, it does not come as a surprise that most of them are almost always engaged in some beef. As fans waited for the case to be made as Nicki Minaj and Eve turned castmates on Barbershop: The Next Cut, they were fortunately left disappointed as the latter showered Minaj with praises in her memoir, Who's That Girl. "I started to sympathize with her," Eve said on watching Nicki Minaj work tirelessly for her career.

In a resounding revelation mentioned in her recently released memoir, Eve took readers back to 2016 when she and Nicki Minaj were filming Barbershop: The Next Cut together. The iconic artist remained shockingly honest about how rivalries with her female counterparts have cost her big time throughout her career, and in order to not let the same insecurity seep in, she started therapy before working with Nicki Minaj.

In what seems like a parallel universe but is indeed reality, Nicki Minaj and Eve have engaged in some very wholesome girlhood moment and it is for the Internet to see. Following Eve's statements regarding Minaj in her memoir, the rapper has taken to her social media to get real about just how much respect she had for Eve and how following the statement it has only grown tenfold.

Minaj's reciprocation remains the highlight of the entire ordeal owing to the recent controversies that she has been involved in. In an accusation much similar to that implied on Taylor Swift, as she released a variant on the very day Billie Eilish released an album, Nicki Minaj of late has been accused of taking down other female artists. However, her recent exchange with Eve is proof of anything but.
