In her career stretching across two decades, Taylor Swift had never graced Portugal with her extravagant shows. Naturally, her first time in the city, that too with Eras Tour, would be welcomed by fans in the best way possible. The songstress performed in two back-to-back shows over the weekend and also thrilled the crowd with a series of surprise mashup songs. Recently, Swift decided to summarize her experience performing in Lisbon, Portugal, for the first time.

Taylor Swift penned a heartfelt message to convey her appreciation to the fans who made her time in the Portuguese capital, one for the books. 

After two days of rocking performances, Taylor Swift made sure to show some love back to the fans in Portugal. The pop sensation took to her social media handles, both Twitter and Instagram, and penned a note of thanks. “It’s official, I left my 🤍 in Lisbon,” wrote the 34-year-old. Further thanking fans for making her first time in Portugal feel like “home”, she added, “I’ll seriously never forget the way you treated us.”

It was not the only time Taylor Swift showed how much she loved performing in the coastal city. Speaking to the crowd on the second night in Lisbon, the 'Lover' singer revealed her wish to “have brought every one of those tours” to Lisbon. While Swift had the time of her life in Lisbon, unfortunately, not everyone had the same experience.

For certain American fans who took the trip to see the Lisbon shows, the reported experience was less than satisfactory. 

Some US fans had a poor experience with the setup of the arena show at Taylor Swift’s concert. A TikTok user named Jenny Berger took to the platform to highlight the grievances they faced at the Lisbon show. Berger and her friends had tickets for the VIP 1 section, which cost them €539 in Portugal—much less than what the same tickets would have cost in the US. Despite having reserved floor tickets for the show, they found some fans with general admission tickets pushing their way into the VIP section.

The general ticket-buyers paid $300 less for their tickets than Berger and her friends, yet they all stood in front. Berger recorded a video of concert-goers whom they believed sneaked into the VIP section without the proper tickets, as per Daily Mail. In the now-deleted TikTok post, the US resident vented,  “We paid a s*** ton for our ticket, and general admin is pushing us around”. While this was the sentiment shared by some fans in the Lisbon concert arena,  the majority poured their hearts out to Taylor Swift, compelling the star to reciprocate with a heartfelt note of thanks.
