Carpenter explained that she was unaware of the drama surrounding her collaboration. She added how she has been aloof from all drama, unlike how fans think of her since she is "constantly working." 

"As much as people want to believe you're tuned into every little thing, I'm not because I'm constantly working," added Sabrina Carpenter. The songstress further revealed that she had been in communication with Swift about the situation and that there was no "weirdness" between them. Despite this, Carpenter acknowledged that people will continue to speculate and spread rumors, saying, "that's all they have time to do."
