“I just always imagined..”- Taylor Swift Reveals a Special Connection With Sweden at Eras Tour Show in Stockholm
While Taylor Swift is the main attraction of the Eras Tour, it is also the elaborate stage setups that artfully mirror the aesthetic of each era. From the blush hues and corporate vibes of the 'Lover' era to the UFO-inspired set pieces and a bed-table fusion to resemble a 19th-century hospital bed from 'The Tortured Poets Department', it is this blend of music and visuals that make Eras Tour what it is.
As the songstress kicked off her show in Sweden, she opened up about one major Eras Tour stage highlight that stemmed from her special bond with the European country.

Taylor Swift’s world tour set sail for Europe on May 9. And right from the get-go in Paris, the songstress dropped one surprise after another. By May 17, the music icon stormed Stockholm to treat audiences to three consecutive performances at the Friends Arena. As she took to the stage for the 'Folklore' era, which featured a little remote forest cabin, Swift shared how the cabin seemed to fit right in with Sweden. “I just always imagined myself living in a cabin in the woods somewhere in Sweden,” added the 34-year-old.
Thematically, 'Folklore' explores a fictional forest world that Swift had envisioned while she was quarantined. While the rustic cabin might seem like the perfect fit, the decision to go with an A-frame was significant because of its popularity across the United States after World War II, especially for vacation spots. This became an appropriate connection since the 2020 album was also centered around an escapist fantasy. However, this cabin has not always brought luck to the pop sensation.
Earlier this year, Taylor Swift met a frightful incident because of the wooden cabin while performing on stage during an Eras Tour show.

In a Tokyo show on February 9, Taylor Swift had a scary moment while presenting her 'Folklore' era. The pop star almost slipped off the 'Folklore' cabin following her rendition of 'the 1' atop it. While making her way down, she lost her balance and stumbled, but thankfully, she regained her footing from the mishap and even joked about it with her fans afterward.
"My life flashed before my eyes,” said the 'Cruel Summer' singer. She was also relieved that she did not actually plummet off the roof, but simply stumbled a bit. She then quickly carried on with her planned remarks before launching into a performance of the 'Folklore' tracks. Despite the mishap, the wooden cabin's ties to Sweden have made the Eras Tour all the more special for fans in the country.
