Shia LaBeouf may have a different take on Kanye West today, but things were way different years ago. Despite his controversies, the ‘Donda’ rapper is appreciated and hailed by both fans and celebrities for his creativity in music and fashion. He would put up shows setting an example for the future, and that meant having to be edgy. But the end results would yield success, and the people knew that.

Today, Ye is working on independently promoting his Yeezy 10 project, but there was a time when he would ask people for help. One person to have seen his work come to life is the Transformers actor. In a 4-year-old interview, LaBeouf opened up about how West took his clothes, and why he did it.

Why was Shia LaBeouf happy about Kanye West taking his clothes?

Anyone who has met or had an interaction with Ye ensures to share their interesting experiences. Even Shia LaBeouf once had a close interaction with the rapper that he shared during a 2019 interview with BigBoyTv. He explained how the ‘Gold Digger’ singer once asked for 70% of his clothes for a pop-up display, and the actor happily obliged. “I got nothing but love for him, actually,” he explained.

The actor admitted how he would have done anything that the rapper asked him just because he was a big fan. But he was curious whether Ye planned to sell off or give away the collected clothes. Apparently, he collected clothes from various people to put on the mannequins for his pop-up. The rapper was chasing authenticity by putting on the clothes of real-life artists.

The entertainer had massive respect and adored him for whatever he did. But the love between both was certainly mutual.

Ye once styled himself with the actor’s accessory

Kim Kardashian, Ye’s ex-wife, once confessed how the rapper wore LaBeouf’s hat around. It was his favorite hat, and the singer wore it around proudly. He even admired the actor’s fashion in his ‘No More Parties in L.A.’ song, calling it ‘fresh’.

Both celebrities have had their share of issues and had gone underground for a while. Ye is making a comeback now, but the entertainer seems to be having a slower start with his recent movie being last year’s Padre Pio. Regardless, the rapper is continuing his passion for fashion with his Yeezy brand, actively hiring a team for it.
