Beyoncé is currently making the world groove to the beat of her Renaissance concerts. With an earning of over $400 million dollars, the 42-year-old is giving close competition to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. However, Queen Bey not only enjoys immense adoration from her fanbase but has also inspired many of her peers. In an interview with E News Daily Pop in 2021, the ‘Planet Her’ creator spoke fondly of Beyoncé and recalled the 2011 VMA moment that made her believe she could do anything!
Beyoncé gave the world a major pop culture moment when she revealed her pregnancy at the 2011 VMAs. Referencing the moment, Doja Cat shared “When I saw Beyoncé pregnant doing ‘Love On Top.’ That was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen”. Seeing the star-making everyone belt out in the audience while she was expecting motivated the ‘Hot Pink’ creator immensely. However, this was not the first time Doja Cat gave a shout-out to the most awarded artist in Grammy history.
During her TikTok controversy involving Beyoncé, the singer revealed how she greatly admired the ‘Speak My Mind’ creator.
Beyoncé being the ultimate inspiration for Doja Cat
Over the years, many artists have showcased their admiration for Beyoncé, including Lil Wayne with Ye, taking things a bit too far at the 2009 MTV VMAs. However, Queen Bey has set a standard in the industry that is hard to attain. Three years back, the ‘Win Pon You’’ singer was trending on Twitter with the hashtag #DojaIsOverParty. This was in response to her racist remarks and the infamous TikTok where she referred to Beyoncé as “Beyon-Key”. Beyoncé’s angry fandom quickly interpreted it as a comparison to monkeys or donkeys.

The singer went on to reveal how Beyoncé is the reason why she believed she could be who she is. The songwriter then set the record straight saying that she would never come for her inspiration “And every f**king time anyone has ever come for Beyonce I’m there”.
