In the same year, Ye collaborated with Schoolboy Q for a song called ‘That Part’, where he perfectly put his emotions for Kobe’s performance in his lyrics. West rapped, “Walkin’ livin’ legend, man I feel like Kobe. I just dropped 60, man I feel like Kobe.”
It was an incredible moment to witness an icon praising another through his craft. However, this was not the only time West named Bryant on his songs. Over the years, the rapper referenced the Black Mamba in several songs. Furthermore, it might surprise you to know, but Kobe even featured on one of West’s songs. The Los Angeles Lakers star appeared in the music video of one Ye’s popular song, ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing.’
Ever since, the duo collaborated on multiple occasions. One of the most iconic crossovers between the two was in the popular advertisement Kobe System Commercial. But as wholesome as their bond was, Bryant did call the rapper out once.
