Michael Jackson, the moonwalking monarch of pop, set a standard in the music industry so high that today's stars seem to be reaching for the clouds and only coming up with a handful of air. It was not just his knack for releasing hit after hit that secured his legacy, but his remarkable ability to weave a tale, especially evident in the 'Thriller' music video.

True to its name, the 'Thriller' music video was packed with a thrilling plot and dance moves that fans are still trying to get down. And given that it ticked all the right boxes, the music video was also among his best-selling songs. However, it is only now that the 'Thriller' music video has surpassed 1 Billion views on YouTube, leaving fans understandably confused.

The 'Thriller' music video was released all the way back in 1983 on MTV, becoming the first world premiere in the network. The video made its way to YouTube much later in 2009, after the legend had passed away. However, with music videos reaching 1 Million in 13 minutes and billion soon after, it did come across as quite a surprise that one of the best music videos by Michael Jackson had taken so long to do the honors.
