Doja Cat may have graced the 2023 MTV VMA stage with an amazing performance, but that has not taken away from the star’s recent controversy about whether she loved her fans. However, it seems that the ‘Juicy’ singer has stolen the spotlight once again. But this time, it was not because of a new song, performance, or even her behavior. Instead, the singer’s attention grab comes shortly after she wowed her fans with a medley of her latest hits from her upcoming album.

In a photo dump, the Grammy winner shared pictures from Tuesday night’s award show. While the pictures were in complete Doja Cat fashion, it was the caption that sported a Kanye West quote that sent fans into a meltdown.

Doja Cat hints at more unhinged behavior with Kanye West lyrics

After bagging the night’s VMA for Best Art Direction for her song ‘Attention’ and her outstanding performance, Doja Cat took to her Instagram to share photos of the award ceremony. However, it was the quoted song from Ye’s ‘Graduation’ album that stole the show. The photo dump was captioned with “i feel the pressure, under more scrutiny, and what I do? ……….”. This caused a prompt response from her followers who completed the rest of the song, that is, Ye’s 2007 hit ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’.

Most of the artist’s followers ended up flooding her comment section with the words “Act more stupidly” in a bid to complete the song quote. The photo dump came shortly after she had been receiving some heat for being different and standing out more than the rest of the artists. But evidently, the singer has no plans to slow down anytime soon, which is extremely good news for her fans.

It is a little hard to not draw similarities between the two rappers after this dump. And given the ‘Say So’ singer’s recent joust with the internet, it comes as no surprise that the two may have a bit more in common than previously thought.

The uncanny similarities between Doja Cat and Ye

Artists like Doja Cat and West are a long way from your everyday regular celebrities. Both of them are known to make statements, landing them controversies and not in a good way. From Ye’s recent ban by the Venice boat company to Doja Cat telling her fans to “get a job”, the list of their controversies has been endless.

Despite this similarity, the two are also friends and were seen hugging each other at the 2022 Balenciaga show. This was probably one of West’s last such appearances at a public event ahead of his anti-Semitic comments.
