Karma takes all of Taylor Swift’s friends to the summit, but Swift takes all the artists she collaborates with to perform with her on the Eras Tour. It has not been over a month since the Grammy-winning artist climbed back up on stage. And, without a doubt, it has already been the best thing to happen to her fans in a long time. However, this tour is overlapping between the Swifties and nearly every fandom as she continues to bring fan-favorite artists on stage. While it is normal for the ‘Karma’ singer to bring on various artists for the opening act, the crowd at New Jersey’s MetLife was not ready for who she was about to bring about.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’ album was as much a chart-topper as much as it was a heart winner. However, the eleventh track on the album titled ‘Karma’ was a cut above the rest. It capsulized the hostility of the industry towards her and how she persevered, regardless, because Karma is a God. While the song in itself proved to be a ringer, she released a remix version of the same with Ice Spice on the 27th of May. And not even a day after it surfaced, Swift pulled up Ice Spice on the stage.

The Grammy-winning singer has been giving out one spectacular performance after another. Sometimes she is burning the lover’s house down and other times she is performing in the rain making one thing clear: she loves her fans. And she did the work of God by bringing the newly famous rapper, Ice Spice, on stage where they performed the remix of ‘Karma’ together.

Swift also modified the lyrics of her song as she wrote “Karma is that girl like” with heart emojis to indicate her love for the ‘Boy’s a Liar‘ singer. This collaboration is crucial for many reasons.

While Taylor Swift is known for sharing the stage with Shawn Mendes during ‘Lover’ and has even performed with long-time best friend Selena Gomez several times, it is rare that she releases a surprise remix and then brings the artist on stage the next day. And knowing the 33-year-old, her fans believe there are more layers to it.

Fans react to Taylor Swift bringing Ice Spice on The Eras Tour

Those in attendance in New Jersey for Taylor Swift’s Friday night show were blessed to see the two most trending artists together on stage. Swift explained that Ice Spice had earlier contacted her for a collaboration. However, the ‘Karma’ singer was busy training for the tour. Taylor Swift became a fan of the rapper’s music, which resulted in the ‘Karma’ remix.

For fans of Ice Spice who had always known that she had star potential, this was another green check. However, the nature of the collaboration has raised many eyebrows. Especially knowing that the ‘Mastermind’ singer is quite literally a mastermind when it comes to PR moves.

Pop culture fanatics have pointed out how the Grammy-winning artist’s rumored boyfriend had made derogatory comments about the rapper. And her bringing Ice Spice on stage and hugging it out could very well squash that controversy. However, others believe that it is just a distraction from the evidence of her dating the 1975 band member. Whatever the case, the song is a bop, and it is only a matter of hours before it hits the top of the Billboard charts.
