“hip hop is…”- Will Smith Has an Astounding Reaction to South Korean Rapper Lee Young Ji’s Voice
Will Smith, through his one-of-a-kind rap songs about summer nostalgia and the trials of being a teenager, became one of the greatest artists that Hip Hop had ever seen. A feat that was greatly celebrated by not only the rapper but the entirety of the music genre during its 50th anniversary not long ago. And in the spirit of celebrating Hip Hop, Will Smith has given a rare shout-out to another artist by posting them on his social media.
With two kids, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith, in the business, it is not often that other rappers enjoy a shout-out by the Fresh Prince. And even more rarely does anyone manage to make the artist quite literally shout out a “Woah!” But an artist from across the peninsula has done it all quite effortlessly.

A South Korean rapper with a penchant to get the stadium roaring with her rap songs.
The caption on the reel read “Hip-Hop is Global” and this could not be truer as it left the American superstar amazed. Will Smith posted the reel on his Instagram story with “Woah!”. And looks like it may have already done the trick for Lee Young Ji as the performance soon garnered 32k likes.
Perhaps it is true what the youngsters on ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter, have been saying about K-Pop taking over. While that may still be in the works, Lee Young Ji is already on her way to the pinnacle and Will Smith’s admiration has only pushed things in the right direction.

Will Smith may have only now found out about Lee Young Ji and her phenomenal rapping prowess, but the South Korean artist, despite being only 20 years old, was already well on her way to global dominance. Just last month, the luxury fashion brand, Coach, appointed her as their global ambassador. And this is only one of the many accolades Lee Young Ji has in her name.
The twenty-year-old rapper in her cutthroat industry has managed to amass a ginormous fandom of her own. The likes of which will no longer be restricted to just Asia as Will Smith also joins the crew. Perhaps he can take the Ryan Reynolds approach with Stray Kids and win himself an army that will defend him for a lifetime.
