Gunna’s Brother Hits Back at Young Thug’s Warning Message to the 'Drip or Drown 2' Rapper
Gunna and Young Thug have been friends since 2015. They first crossed paths during Thug’s ‘With That’ music video shoot, and their bond grew even stronger in 2016 when Gunna signed with Thug’s YSL Records. Since then, the two have been inseparable, frequently collaborating and performing together. But these days, neither rapper wants to be seen as the other’s friend. Recently, Young Thug made his feelings about Gunna pretty clear, and that has invited a sharp and salty reply from the 'Lemonade' rapper's brother.
Gunna’s brother fired back at Young Thug’s warning message, and unlike the ‘Go Crazy’ rapper, he has not deleted his response.

Since Young Thug was released, fans have been speculating about his relationship with Gunna. On Saturday, Thug hit up X with a tweet that set the record straight for every fan who thought things were good between the two. He wrote, “Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don't know u my guy,” only to delete it a few minutes later. Now, Gunna’s brother has responded, saying, “The feeling is mutual.”
Their relationship started to crumble after Gunna took a plea deal in the YSL RICO case, which many saw as him cooperating with the authorities. This led to accusations of ‘snitching’ from people in the rap world, including Lil Baby, 21 Savage, and Lil Durk. So far, Gunna has not said anything about Thug’s release, even though other big names in rap have been celebrating it. However, Gunna had a very different take on his bond with Young Thug, when asked about it earlier this year.
Gunna assured fans that the way things look online is not how it really is between him and Thug.

Back in April, Gunna talked about his relationship with Young Thug in XXL’s cover story. He said, “It’s the same. It’s love, always. Our relationship is our relationship.” When asked about rappers like Lil Durk, 21 Savage, and Lil Baby, who have directly or indirectly thrown shade or called him a snitch, Gunna shared that none of them are involved in the case and “don’t know legally what’s going on.”

To move past the drama, Gunna said that he has been focused on bettering himself, instead of getting into the industry politics. He dropped about 30-40 pounds while locked up and has kept hitting the gym since his release. But no matter how positive Gunna is about his personal growth, it is pretty clear that things between him and Thug are not as friendly as they used to be.
