Grammy’s Best New Artist Favorite Sabrina Carpenter Has Her Name Written in History With Legend LeAnn Rimes
Sabrina Carpenter is truly the woman of the hour. The 25-year-old has been making a name for herself in the industry since at least 2011. From sharing videos of her singing on YouTube to becoming a Disney sweetheart and building an acting career- Carpenter has been at it for over a decade- and success was a long time coming. But it took her one spring to become America’s new purveyor of the catchy, bubblegum pop jams. And now, she is well on her way to joining the ranks of music legends.
Carpenter recently matched a historic record set by the iconic country music singer and songwriter LeAnn Rimes.

The first track that got America completely hooked on Sabrina Carpenter was 'Espresso.' Fans declared this dance bop the unofficial Song of the Summer for 2024, even before summer had begun. Earlier this year, Carpenter climbed to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Espresso’. It stuck around in the Top 5 for five months, but sadly, never quite hit the #1 spot. But not that sad after all, as this helped Carpenter match a record held by LeAnn Rimes, whose song ‘How Do I Live’ had a similar run on the chart.
When Carpenter announced 'Espresso', she said she just wanted to release a little song before Coachella. Who knew it would quickly become a must-have on fans' playlists? Besides her catchy music and wonderfully funny personality, Carpenter might owe some of her success to Taylor Swift, who has been her biggest cheerleader all along. Recently, Swift made another lovely gesture to support Carpenter.
At one of her recent Eras Tour concerts, Taylor Swift gave Carpenter and her hit song 'Espresso' a sweet shout-out with a fun mashup.

Sabrina Carpenter has opened for Taylor Swift at several concerts during the Eras Tour, and she has definitely been missed over the past few months. Last month, though, Swift surprised everyone by bringing a special guest on stage in New Orleans- which happened to be none other than Carpenter. Swift told the crowd, “I’m gonna sing a song that’s not mine, but it’s somebody that I really love,” before treating everyone to a few bars of 'Espresso'.
Later on, Swift even called Carpenter on speakerphone. As the 'Cruel Summer' singer began to sing 'Espresso,' the verse smoothly flowed into a mashup that combined Carpenter’s hit with 'Is It Over Now?' from '1989 (Taylor’s Version)'. Carpenter is currently out on tour with her album 'Short n’ Sweet,' and by the time it comes to a close, she is sure to have a few more record-breaking accomplishments under her belt
