GAP Sues Kanye West for $2,000,000 Over Yeezy Fallout, While Adidas Looks to Sell the Shoes
Legal troubles continue to mount on Kanye West. Both the singer and the companies faced a downfall after he ended things with brands like GAP, Balenciaga, and Adidas. While he lost his billionaire status, the companies were left struggling with leftover goods, pressure from investors, or monetary troubles. The deal with GAP, however, ended because of differences regarding products and pricing.
We know the musician for being a creative genius, even when it comes to fashion. That also means giving control to him to make any changes as required. When his deal with GAP fell apart, the company was left to deal with its after-effects. Now that it is costing them millions, they are suing Ye with $2,000,000.

Months after ending their relationship with Kanye West, GAP is suing him. According to NewYorkPost, the company is suing him for making ‘unauthorized’ changes to their rental property. As per the court documents, the company filed a case against him last month asking for $2,000,000 in damages. Although they ended professional relations months ago, the case comes after the owners of the rental property sued the clothing giant. The building in LA is owned by Art City Center at 1360 E. 6th St.
They claimed that the clothing line used the rental property for wrong purposes by altering things internally. As per the lawsuit, they nixed three of the bathrooms, put up a ramp on the exterior of the parking lot, removed the internal ceiling lights, and installed a tunnel in the parking lot. These changes were made by Ye as part of his creative process while he worked with GAP, explaining the company’s claim against him now.

Their very pubic split happened just weeks after the excitement over a new line back in 2021.
How things went sour between the artist and the clothing brand
In order to remain updated with changing times, GAP decided to go through a makeover. In that attempt, they hired Kanye West for a 10-year collaboration deal. It began by launching a blue jacket worth $200, which they dropped in 2021. Thereafter, hoodies and other clothing came out. Troubles began when they butt heads over the cost of products, especially their Yeezy sunglasses. Ye wanted to make fashion affordable, but the luxury brand could not afford such a bargain. After a similar fate with Adidas, he dropped photos of his Yeezy 10 collection. In a pool of his other pending cases, it will be seen how this one ends now.
