While Drake and Kendrick Lamar are hogging the spotlight in the 2024 rap feud, there is a whole group of smaller players contributing to the drama too. Future is one of them. The rapper was the one to incorporate Kendrick Lamar's explosive diss verse from 'Like That' into his album with Metro Boomin, 'We Don’t Trust You'. And eagle-eyed fans also took notice of the veiled references to Drake in Future's own verses as well, hinting at an underlying friction between the two veterans.

Now, in the thick of the ongoing beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, Future is once again stepping into the musical arena with another of his creations. 

Amidst the intense drama of the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud, Future has sprung another surprise on fans. The 'Superhero' rapper is dropping a fresh mixtape when the hip-hop world is already on fire. He recently shared a series of posts on X with announcements like “MIXTAPE PLUTO” and “MAY TENTH”. Now the question is will this release intensify the ongoing feud, or introduce a new dynamic altogether?

The mere existence of this beef have intensified competition across the music industry, particularly for artists associated with it. Future would not just happen to release this weekend unless it related to the beef. Dropping on the same day as Gunna, accompanied by a tweet, stating, "F*ck yo album Sh*t ain’t slappin like my MIXTAPE,” indicates a potential diss in Future's upcoming release. Yet, he is not the only one indirectly caught up in this feud.

Kendrick Lamar and Drake Change Lives of Many With an Unprecedented Gesture Amidst Beef

Even Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, tried to slide into the middle of the beef to grab some attention for himself.

On March 28, Ye dropped a bombshell on Instagram, revealing who he thinks deserves the crown in hip-hop. Though his remix of 'Like That' may have already shown which side he is on, before that, he took shots at both Lamar and Drake. In a now-deleted post, he boldly claimed to have "washed" both of them.

Ye boasted about outshining Lamar with his track 'No More Parties in LA' from 'The Life of Pablo', while also bringing Drake into the mix for supposedly besting him during the Free Hoover Concert. Ye made his loyalty crystal clear with a short statement, declaring himself the "GOAT" in this matter. While it appears Drake is taking a hit in the lyrical showdown, it will be fascinating to see how other players in the beef, including Future, will keep the drama alive.
