From Questioning Viral Sabrina Carpenter VMA 2024 Moment to Bathtub and Coloring, Britney Spears Unleashes a Multifaceted Rant

The MTV VMAs have been one award show that despite the years have managed to uphold their stature of relevancy to the point that even celebrities tune in. It is a spectacle where the songs are an afterthought, and the real entertainment lies in the lip-locks, side-eyes, and wardrobe malfunctions. As the MTV VMAs 2024 put their best foot forward with a Sabrina Carpenter x Alien kiss, not just fans but Britney Spears herself had a few questions.

The arguable Queen of Pop, Britney Spears is not one to shy away from speaking her mind. A more safer alternative to Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, Britney Spears' rant did not land her out of Instagram but fortunately in fans' graces.

With the Internet singing praises about how she is 'pop-staring like pop-stars have not pop-starred' in a while, Sabrina Carpenter was among the most anticipated attendees at the MTV VMAs 2024. However, to really up the ante, she went on to perform 'Taste' in front of the alleged inspirations behind the song. In a surprising turn of events the love triangle drama fell second to her quite literally out of the world kiss with an alien, making Britney Spears question "Why didn't she kiss a girl?" and then smoothly dive into her new obsession with coloring and bathtubs on her Instagram.

A technically unprovoked Britney Spears after watching clips on YouTube as she stated of Sabrina Carpenter kissing an alien decided to give fans a peak of what was going on in her mind. What started with a question about Carpenter's creative decision to kiss an alien instead of a girl as she had originally done in the 'Taste' music video, transcended into a revelation about how she found the entire ordeal weird and went on to take a bath after watching the performance. And just to add the cherry on top, Spears also revealed that she is into coloring as of late.

Given her prominence in the industry, hearing that no one could do what Britney Spears did is not out of the ordinary. However, Spears along with Christina Aguliera, Madonna, and a three way kiss truly did pull off something that is irreplaceable in the museum of iconic moments. Perhaps this is why, Sabrina Carpenter's decision to not kiss a girl but an alien instead, did not sit well with her so much so that she had to take a bath. While the songstress did make it clear that she loves Carpenter to death, in the grand scheme of things this minus marking will not play out well for the latter.

As the Britney Spears biopic is well in the works and the search for the face is in full swing, with almost everyone from Millie Bobby Brown to Emma Roberts wanting a try at the glass slippers, Spears herself labeled Carpenter's stunt as 'weird' is not a good look. Even though the 'Short n' Sweet' was among the top contenders to play the pop queen, the odds just like her kissing partner, may be out of boundaries for now.
