From Featuring Kanye West in Utopia to Mimicking His Style, How Travis Scott Is Influenced by the ‘Graduation’ Rapper
When Travis Scott released his album Astroworld in 2018, he could have never imagined that three years later it would be known all over the world for a different reason. The infamous incident at Scott’s concert put the singer in hiding after his controversial apology was met with severe backlash. And now making a comeback through his new album, ‘Utopia,’ he is here to win back his large fanbase. But one collaborator on the album that fans are even more eager to see is none other than Kanye West.
To be considered a protégé of Kanye West is a rare feat. But for Scott, his learnings from the father of four are not only restricted to their love for music, it also expands to fashion.

Ye is known to be the master of many trades, fashion being one among many. Not falling far behind, the 32-year-old also boasts of a vast collection of trendy luxury apparel. So it’s only natural that Scott, who deeply admires West, follows the fashion mogul’s lead now and then. As picked up by this Twitter page, the ‘Astroworld’ singer was seen in the same Celine blouse in 2018 that his mentor donned for a Coachella performance seven years prior.
Having worked alongside fashion moguls like Louis Vuitton and Adidas, Ye is often seen as a trendsetter. Not that the ‘Graduation’ rapper needs any more devotees, but his keen eye for all things couture definitely won him another. And now fans of the fashionistas can enjoy another one of their collaborations since their last track ‘Praise God.’
Much like ‘Praise God,’ which came out in 2021, the 46-year-old’s productions in ‘Utopia’ follow a similar spiritual theme.

Fans are over the moon as ‘Utopia’ drops amidst much hype. Like a kid in a candy store, we too are awe-struck by the celeb-studded discography the album flaunts. Yeezy is credited as the co-producer for three tracks on the list titled ‘THANK GOD,’ ‘GOD’S COUNTRY’ and ‘TELEKINESIS’, for which he is also credited as the lyricist. Meanwhile, the BeyHive rejoices in the track ‘DELRESTO (ECHOES)’ featuring the R&B legend, Beyonce!
Also including the likes of Drake, The Weeknd, and 21 Savage, the track list is a goldmine for rap and pop enthusiasts alike. Besides Beyonce, SZA is another lady that has been steadily climbing the R&B ladder. And for her to be included in this album with the song ‘TELEKINESIS’ alongside Future is going to leave her fans ecstatic. Surprisingly, the sixth song on the list titled ‘SIRENS’ includes rock singer John Mayer on the guitar alongside Swae Lee.
