With lyrics such as "My boy only breaks his favorite toys, I am queen of sand castles he destroys", there is no doubt that Taylor Swift is a tortured poet. But not to forget, this tortured poet is also a chart-topping havoc who within twenty-four hours of releasing her album has sold 2 million units in the United States. Not only this, but the album became the most-streamed album in a single day in Spotify history with 200 million streams as noted by the streamer.

The top spot in album sales has been held by Adele since 2015, who sold 3.48 Million units within a week of '25', making her the first-ever female artist to do so. While Swift with her two million sales within a day holds the second spot on the most album sales by a female artist list, it is only a matter of time before she gets to the crown.

Despite topping a million charts and breaking gazillion records, some eyebrows still itch when asked if Taylor Swift is a good singer. However, one thing that most agree on is her spectacular writing layered with titbits from her love life and aimed straight at the heart. While this writing was more nuanced in her previous albums, only name-dropping famous women in history and Blake Lively's daughters, this time she has opted for real names.

In the second track of her album, speculated to be about Matty Healy, Swift names her long-time best friend Jack Antonoff and also Lucy Dacus. The name drop of Lucy Dacus has single-handedly set fire to the internet. However, it is not even the most unexpected name on the track as the Grammy-winning singer goes on to say "We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist." Whether this was meant to be a jibe at Puth is unclear, but that Taylor Swift knew what she was doing with these lyrics is evident.
