The 2025 Grammy nominations are out, and, as usual, the fanbase wars are back, with plenty of complaints about their favorite artists being ‘robbed’ of their deserved nods. The Grammys are all about honoring those who have made waves in the music industry. But with so many incredible artists dropping mind-blowing records in the same year, it is only natural that choosing the ‘best of the best’ can be a bit tricky. And sometimes, even the Grammy decision-makers make choices that lead to some of the most infamous snubs of legendary artists.

Here are 5 artists who deserved a spot on the nomination list this year but got snubbed from the race.

One of the biggest snubs of this year has to be that of Dua Lipa. After the massive success of 'Future Nostalgia,' her recent hits from the Barbie soundtrack, and chart-topping success, no one saw Lipa being snubbed by the Grammys. Another shocking omission was Ariana Grande, who delivered her most mature and polished project yet, as per critics, with 'Eternal Sunshine'. While she did grab a nod for Best Pop Vocal Album, she was totally shut out of the big categories like Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Tyla, too, was ignored this year, despite all the critics' predictions of her landing spots in categories like Best Global Performance or Best Pop Vocal Album. The Grammys also seemed to have overlooked Megan Thee Stallion in the rap categories, even after her diss track ‘Hiss’ went viral earlier this year. And then there was Jack Antonoff, who was absent from the Grammy ballot despite his work on high-profile albums like Taylor Swift’s 'The Tortured Poets Department'. And speaking of Swift, her fans are currently up in arms over a huge oversight too.

While Swift picked up several Grammy nominations this year, she was left out of one major category, and her fans are not taking it lightly.

Swifties expected a seventh Grammy nod for Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift scored six Grammy nominations this year, including nods for Best Music Video, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. However, fans were left frustrated when the pop star did not get a nomination in the Best Music Film category for her record-smashing Eras Tour concert film- that was submitted to the Academy last month. Swifties felt that the Academy ignored the one thing Swift did this year that truly deserved recognition- more so than ‘Fortnight’ even.

Swift's film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour went on to become the highest-grossing concert and documentary movie in box office history, making over $261.6 million at the box office. Nonetheless, while her film did not earn a Grammy nod, Swift still made history with her Album of the Year nomination, breaking a tie with Barbra Streisand to become the woman with the most nominations in this category.
