47-Year-Old Shakira Shatters Peak Taylor Swift’s Majestic The Eras Tour Record Even Before Hitting the USA
As Taylor Swift and her Eras Tour broke records that seemed like an impossible feat to achieve in the first place, from her concert movie itself proving to be a blockbuster to every show being sold out, it was cemented that there is truly no tour like The Eras Tour. The billion-dollar tour front-lined by the singer became the standard for the music industry. And it seems like Shakira has not only met this standard but also broken it even before going on tour.
While Taylor Swift still remains shattering records with her Eras Tour, leaving an entire industry chasing her shadow, it seems Shakira, without so much as stepping on stage, has already outdone her.

Michael Jackson's record stayed intact for decades until Taylor Swift took matters into her own hands. However, with 2024 seeing a comeback by almost everyone's GOAT, Swift unfortunately could not hold one of her many trophies for long, as Shakira grabbed it simultaneously putting her other achievements in jeopardy. Before setting on her North American tour, the Colombian singer shifted from arenas to stadiums and became the first woman to sell out five consecutive shows at Estadio GNP Seguros, according to Marca.
The record was previously held by Taylor Swift, who during her North American leg of the Eras Tour sold out four consecutive shows at the same stadium. Shakira breaking Taylor Swift's record is more than anything an indicator of just how grand her world tour is going to be.
While Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour will undoubtedly be a crowd-puller, it will still have to break its back before breaking any other of Taylor Swift's records.

The upcoming world tour of Shakira consists of the singer belting out her latest album, 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran'. And while the album's achievements speak for itself, it is up against the Eras Tour, which is a culmination of Taylor Swift's hits through the decades. Throughout the tour, Swift not only performed her recent hits but also hidden gems from Hannah Montana.
Another reason behind why it will be a while before any other tour manages to stand on the same stage as the Eras Tour is because of the sheer real world impact that it had. From markets awaiting and effectively preparing for a wave of fans to causing earthquakes in certain parts of the globe, Taylor Swift may have lost one of her crowns, but she still sits on the throne, next to Beyoncé, of course.
