It has been two years since Kanye West graced his fans’ ears with his old-school soul music. ‘Donda’ was the last studio album release of Ye that featured a star-studded lineup of guest vocals, including Travis Scott. It was Scott’s ‘Utopia’ concert, where Ye made his first public performance after a significant hiatus owing to his controversial outrage on social media. Ever since his appearance at the concert, the internet started to flood with numerous reports about Ye working on a new album.

Apparently, Ye has been diligently working on his upcoming chartbuster and will be discreet about it for some time. Recently, some exciting new updates about Ye’s solo album surfaced, boosting the anticipation of new heights.

Despite maintaining a tight lip on his upcoming project, Ye somehow managed to stir controversies yet again. After the leak of Ye’s collaboration with Snoop Dog and Dr. Dre, the follow-up of West’s 2019 project became accessible to the public before its release. The ‘Jesus Is King 2’ is a collaborative album featuring Dr. Dre Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Travis Scott, and many others. In the past, Ye faced the leakage of some snippets and songs from his album.

But this was the first time a full-length album from the 46-year-old rapper suffered an unintended release. These incidents followed Ye’s legal battle to hunt down music leakers and to take a jab at the breach of legal contracts. Given the string of controversies the ‘College Dropout’ faced last year, the success of his upcoming solo album is very crucial for him. With back-to-back leaks in a month, it is yet to be seen if the rap icon takes any steps to tackle the music leakers.
