Over the years, Lorde has revealed that she is definitely a Kanye West fan. From covering some of the rapper’s most famous songs to even being remixed by him, she has even specified that the twenty-four-time Grammy winner was one of her idols. But the ‘Flicker’ singer also shocked the world when she accused the iconic rapper of stealing something of hers. However, things between the two artists seem to have cooled down after the 26-year-old singer’s recent move.

As a way of celebrating the 10-year anniversary of her first studio album, Lorde decided to shout out the idols that helped her make it. Among the slightly random list, fans could not help but notice a mention of the controversial rapper.

Lorde’s latest merch collection features Kanye West

Recently, a page on X, Ye Streams shared a picture of a t-shirt from Lorde’s latest merch drop. The singer curated a collection, for her first studio album, ‘Pure Heroine’ which was released back on September 27, 2013. It was a plain fade black shirt that also featured writing, which stole everyone’s hearts. On it, the singer thanked her fans, Grimes, Lana Del Ray, David Bowie, Frank Ocean, her fans, and many more. She ended her thank you with a little, “You’re the only friend I need”, which floored all her fans. However, it was the Kanye West shout-out that had people a little stunned.

While it is no surprise that the singer who once performed a Ye’s classic loves the rapper, after their past problems, no one quite saw this coming. Back in 2018, the stars clashed when Lorde accused Ye of stealing her set designs. When West and Kid Cudi teamed up for the first time as Kids See Ghosts at the Camp Flog Gnaw Festival, Lorde could not help but notice something similar between the performance and one of her one. Both performances featured the artists locked up in a transparent cube-like box that was hovering over the stage.

Although it has been five years since the incident, some fans still do not seem to be over it. However, with the revelation of Lorde’s new collection and anniversary, fans can seem to focus on one thing and that is Ye’s mention.

Fans praise Lorde’s gratitude for Kanye West

Shortly after her merch collection was revealed, fans immediately took to social media to reveal how they felt about the collection. While some chose to focus on West being thanked, others took some time to point out that a few iconic names were missing from the list. Though fans might not be over the drama, it was evident that for Lorde, it was now all just water under the bridge. Thankfully, the singer had a few fans who decided to give her a shout-out as well.

It was also evident that some users could only focus on the fact that Kanye West was mentioned. But others were upset that Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj were missing from the list.

Though fans may be torn in two over Lorde’s latest drop, one thing is for sure. Whether they love or hate the controversial rapper, they seem to love the ‘Royals’ singer. While neither party has had anything to say on the matter, fans speculate that since the accusation incident, the two have worked things out and found a way to maybe even stay friends.
