Snoop Dogg Reveals How This $7.93 Billion Worth Company Signed Him After Adidas Snubbed Him for Kanye West
Just like Kanye West, Snoop Dogg also made an empire out of his designs. The ‘Still’ singer has ruled the world of rap music since the 90s. But his influential personality also made him the perfect choice for a fashion collaboration. From making Gangsta rap to designing shoes, he has built a net worth of at least $10 million or more. But being able to do that in a competitive market was no easy task.
Putting together a likable collection or influencing buyers comes after getting picked by a big brand. The singer even got there once with Adidas. But was eventually snubbed to make Kanye West their new face. In an interview, the rapper revealed how he found his way to a big collaboration.

After sports players, it is musicians that are high in demand for fashion collaborations. But when Snoop Dogg was snubbed by Adidas, he stayed true to his style. In an interview with The Pivot Podcast, he revealed how he got a deal with Sketchers. He explained that the $7.93 billion dollar worth of the company will continue making his sneakers. The 51-year-old rapper appreciated the company for letting him be himself and represent his culture through the designs.
That came only after being snubbed by Adidas. He takes credit for introducing the sports company to Kanye West, which turned into a mega success. His design style certainly differs from Ye, but he wants to stay authentic in what he sells. That even includes gangsta-style designs selling products ranging from a reasonable price up to thousands of dollars.
Although this is not the rapper’s first rodeo, he went through some rejections before reaching here.
Snoop Dogg’s designs took a look to get green-lit by stores
Snoop Dogg’s natural styles involve crip designs that were not readily accepted by stores a few years ago. But as per him, three years later, brands like Gucci and Louis Vuitton eventually used his ‘paisley prints’ on their lines. Snoop Dogg even featured in Sketchers’ $6 million worth of Superbowl advertisement this year with Martha Stewart.
