It has been some time since the Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud fizzled into thin air. But leading up to the surprise release of the former’s ‘GNX’ album, the skeletons in the closet outline a presence once again. Metro Boomin and Future recently laid bare their true emotions about the dispute that had the entire hip-hop fandom in a tense chokehold. However, reports have now surfaced regarding Drake taking matters up by a notch to pursue legal beats instead of street heats for an iconic Kendrick Lamar song, leaving fans to brand him incompetent.

According to a recent report by Billboard, Drake has officially initiated a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG) and Spotify, alleging the companies plotted to over-inflate the popularity of Kendrick Lamar’s diss track, ‘Not Like Us.’ The filing was made on Monday in Manhattan court by Drake’s Frozen Moments LLC, alleging UMG of conspiring with the launch of an illegal “scheme” involving bots, payola, and other cook books to amplify Lamar’s song into the mainstream.
