Fans Pick Up on Kendrick Lamar’s Subtle Nod to Ye in His Newest Diss Track ‘Euphoria'

In hip-hop, beef, and diss tracks are as common as mic drops and head nods. Battle rapping and ciphers have always birthed a healthy dose of competition, bringing out the lyrical genius, clever wordplay, and knockout punches from artists- so long as it stays on the music and does not spill into the streets. This drama is unfolding among the big dogs of the industry at the moment. Recently, Kendrick Lamar fired shots at Drake in his latest diss track, and fans sniffed out something that might slip past the casual listener.

The diss track from Kendrick Lamar taking aim at Drake goes by the name of 'Euphoria'. This was allegedly a diss on the show under the same name as well, which was executively produced by Drake. In a verse of 'Euphoria', Lamar sings the lines “We don't wanna hear you say ni**a no more”. This was eerily similar to a line in Ye, formerly known as Kanye West’s 2004 track 'Get Em High', which read, “We don't wanna hear that weak s**t no more”.

This was a clear signal that Lamar and Ye were teaming up in the beef, although this alliance had been made evident before. Since Ye jumped into the conflict, he has made it clear that he will go after J. Cole and Drake. The 'Donda' rapper has even stated that his main objective in joining the feud was to eliminate Drake from the competition.

The unity between Ye and Kendrick Lamar in the feud had fans marveling

'Euphoria' is the latest attack in the ongoing saga between the two heavyweight hip-hop artists, Drake and Kendrick Lamar, that took form earlier this year and now is spiraling into what some are calling a 'civil war' among rap's upper elite. However, within all this, there are also heartwarming displays of friendship, like the one between Ye and Lamar, which fans just can not seem to get enough of.

There were also some who caught on to the similarities even before stumbling upon the X post.

Meanwhile, there were those who thought fans were being overly dramatic and doubted whether Ye even remembers making that song.
