The enchantress and reigning queen of pop, Taylor Swift, has taken over the world with all but a guitar in hand. After concluding her US leg of the ‘Eras Tour’ for August, she is now headed to Mexico. As she conquers the globe with one of the longest tours in history, her gigantic fanbase gathers more Swifties by the minute. Besides Swift’s catchy melodies, her loyal fans also adore and protect her persona with all their hearts.

So when a look-alike of Swift’s tried to impersonate her recently, they proved that hell hath no fury like a Swiftie scorned. Influencer Ashley Leechin, who goes by ‘It’s Just Ashley’, has garnered fame on social media for making appearances as the singer. As part of a prank in collaboration with another creator, she recently appeared in an LA mall. But the ploy to fool mall goers was not well received by most. 

While Swift revels in all the recognition her Eras Tour is receiving, her fans who saw this entire spectacle unfold on social media were enraged.

This is because when Leechin arrived at the mall with an entourage of fake bodyguards, she was initially surrounded by deceived fans. Only when the mall’s security caught on to the prank was she thrown out of the premises. 

For Swifties, this distasteful move by Leechin seemed to have crossed a line. One that fans are not willing to oversee. They have united from every corner of the Earth to let their displeasure known in the comments.

Some netizens want Taylor Swift to take action

Like with Kanye West 7 years ago, Swift’s fans were ready to aim their pitchforks at Leechin. While many recommended “psychological help”, some asked Swift “to sue her.” The top comment even begged the question of why she would “embarrass herself like this.” One user told Leechin to “get her own life.” Meanwhile, another hilariously advised her to “get a good lawyer.”

 Although Swift now casually laughs off her infamous feuds of the past, her fanatics are not as forgiving as her. Whatever may be the outcome of this drama, one thing is for sure. Swifties will clearly not let Leechin off the hook even if Taylor Swift does.
