Popular hip-hop page Rap TV shared the update on its Twitter account, leaving the fans in a frenzy.

‘Runaway’ was one of the most defining songs of its time. Released back in 2010, the song was from Ye’s iconic album, ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.’ The production and the music video design for the song played a huge role in making Ye the creative artist he is. Owing to its record-breaking stars, Ye even released a movie for the same. ‘Runaway’ starts off with a haunting piano melody, which lays a base for the introspective and vulnerable lyrics to follow.

The rap song also featured a guest appearance from Ye’s friend turned foe Pusha T. ‘Runaway’ has a whopping 85 million ways on YouTube. Not only did the song prove Ye’s insane lyrical abilities, but it also gave an insight into his production abilities. To date, the song is a sensation among the fans as they celebrate its 13th anniversary.

Fans react to Runaway completing 13 years of its release

It did not take long for the fans to react to the news of the iconic milestone completed by ‘Runaway.’ The Twitteratis were all praises for all the elements of the song. A handful praised the music video, commenting how Runaway was “a musical masterpiece that keeps redefining iconic.” Another continued that the song “completely changed the rap game.”

Meanwhile, fans flooded the comment section with the goat emoji while another called it the “best song of the generation.” Interestingly, despite quitting the race, a user even appealed for Ye to stand up for the 2024 elections as he wrote, “YE24.”

To say that fans are over the moon about this milestone and Ye’s music in general would be an understatement. Time will show how the fandom would react when his much-teased and anticipated album drops.
