Fans Humble Sabrina Carpenter Stans, Point out the Difference Between Her and Billie Eilish & Olivia Rodrigo
Sabrina Carpenter is, undoubtedly and unquestioningly, the breakout star of the year. In fact, it might take some analysis to figure out how this lesser-known actor/singer became the biggest pop act of 2024. But with all the fame, it would be foolish not to expect some scrutiny from fans, who will, at every turn, question whether she truly deserves the crowns that all the Carpenters- and, well, Swifties- are putting on her head. Especially when it comes to hailing her as superior to already established pop phenomenons like Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo.
Sabrina Carpenter is one of the most nominated artists at the 2025 Grammys. However, as her fans got swept up in the pride, fans of Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo, who have even more Grammy nominations, had to step in to humble them. Carpenters were reminded by X user @eilishroan that, despite having a larger discography of music, Carpenter still falls short of Eilish and Rodrigo when it comes to impact.

This was in response to a fan's claim that "sabrina is bigger than both of them combined". @eilishroan dropped a list of Grammy wins, album units sold, total streams, and billion-stream milestones for all three artists. And not once did Carpenter come out on top of Eilish and Rodrigo in any category, even after having more albums than the other two combined. Naturally, this has sparked another fiery debate online.
Fans of Carpenter, as well as Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo, have all stepped up to argue why their favorite is the true queen of pop.
Sabrina Carpenter fans face off against those of Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish
Ever since the Grammy nominations, Sabrina Carpenter has been inadvertently rubbing some fans the wrong way- especially with her Best New Artist nod, since she is hardly 'new'. And her spot in the Big 4, while heavyweights like Ariana Grande and Dua Lipa got snubbed, ruffled fans' feathers even more. Now, this latest drama has the 'Espresso' singer directly pitted against Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo.
There were, nonetheless, also fans who came to Sabrina Carpenter's defense against the growing backlash.

Sabrina Carpenter is a first-time nominee at the Grammys, and she is already getting more chatter than anyone else. Interestingly, she is also the first female artist in 15 years to be nominated for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year in the same year with different tracks. And if the 'Nonsense' artist takes home both awards, she will be the first female artist to do it in over half a century. That would pretty much shut down anyone still questioning Carpenter's sudden rise to fame in the industry.
