The Kendrick Lamar curse is just not ready to release its grip on Drake. Although the feud between the rappers started brewing in the early 2010s, it was not until 2024 that it really set the hip-hop world on fire. And even though the notorious rap rivalry might have come to an end, its aftershocks are still trailing Drake like a shadowy ghost. While until now it was only fellow rappers who took aims at the 37-year-old, now university students have also begun to roast him- talk about rubbing salt in the wound.

A video has recently started making the rounds on the web, featuring the Alabama State Mighty Marching Hornets. In the video, the university students are seen dancing to Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ and ‘Like That’, the explosive diss tracks aimed at Drake. The 'IDGAF' rapper has become one of the hottest topics in hip-hop after his notorious diss war with Lamar.

Even though the battle wrapped up months ago and the victor was declared as well, Lamar still continues to humiliate the ‘More Life’ rapper. Particularly, the ‘Not Like Us’ track has become Drake’s worst nightmare. After dropping the diss-laden music video for ‘Not Like Us’, Lamar managed to knock 'God's Plan' off its throne as the fastest rap song ever to hit 500 million streams on Spotify. Lamar also performed the same track at The Pop Out: Ken And Friends, while throwing some serious shade at Drake.

While Drake has endured these blows so far, it is not sure if he will put up with university students dancing to the same track that made him take the beating in their rap showdown. Nonetheless, fans are sure having a blast. 

Hip-hop fans have widely declared Kendrick Lamar the clear winner in the diss war. While Drake’s supporters had been hinting at his downfall for almost a decade, it was after this battle and the dirty accusations that fans realized it was a rough time to be a Drizzy stan. Now, every jab thrown at Drake is met with the same mocking response from fans. "Damn, round 2 of Drake being fried," a fan wrote.

They praised the Alabama State University students for totally nailing their dance routine.

Drake’s defeat in the rap battle has even made his comeback attempt with Latto fall flat. With the current climate, it will be interesting to see how Drake handles the criticism and reclaim his GOAT status in the music world.
