Fans Bawl Their Eyes Out at “the disrespect” After Kendrick Lamar’s Diss Track for Drake Takes Center Stage in His Hometown

April saw a high-profile feud between rhyme masters Kendrick Lamar and Drake, but the aftermath of their clash has lingered in the following months. As the music, sports, and entertainment industries take sides and elevate each artist as the reigning hip-hop king, fans continue to grapple with Kendrick Lamar’s impactful diss tracks aimed at Drake. The latest twist, however, left fans stunned when one of the diss tracks unexpectedly took center stage in Drake’s hometown, intensifying the sense of disrespect and leaving many speechless.

Toronto, Drake’s notoriously unwelcoming hometown for Kendrick Lamar fans, has recently shown a surprising change of heart. For the first time, the Queen City embraced the Drake diss track, ‘Not Like Us,’ when DJ Scheme, the man behind the needle drop, blasted it during his set in Toronto on July 29. The unexpected inclusion of this track, coupled with the crowd’s enthusiastic reaction followed by a chorus sing-along, has made this moment a memorable addition to the city’s musical history, particularly leaning on the extent of disrespect on the receiver’s end.

As if Toronto’s warm reception of Kendrick Lamar’s diss track aimed at Drake was not enough, the night had more surprises in store. ScHoolboy Q, currently on the ‘Blue Lips Weekends’ tour, announced the cancellation of the Canadian leg of his tour. While speculation swirled that Drake might have been behind the cancellation, because of their history and ScHoolboy Q’s previous criticism of him and OVO, it was later revealed that the show was scheduled at a venue partially managed by Drake.

Coincidentally, it was the same venue where ScHoolboy Q’s Toronto show was booked. Following these events, the artist could not help but repost a clip of the situation with a fit of laughter, adding to the fans’ trolls.

Kendrick Lamar fans cannot have enough of the Drake diss games at the Toronto show

Drake has always been a staunch advocate of his Canadian roots, making any slight against his home turf particularly stinging. The recent events at the show, along with a series of coincidences, have delighted Kendrick Lamar’s fans but left Drake’s supporters feeling less than thrilled. Although artists like Too Short and Fivio Foreign have previously shown support for Lamar in the feud, this latest blow seems too significant for Drake to easily dismiss.

Many fans initially thought the DJ alone had orchestrated the biggest jab of the year at Drake in Canada, while others believed it might be the final straw for him.

Despite having a loyal fan base, Drake faced a noticeable surge of detractors, with both Lamar and ScHoolboy Q fans reveling in the moment. While Drake has not publicly commented on the situation, it is clear that the incident is far from flattering for him. However, whether he chooses to address the situation or let it pass will become clear with time.
